My response was always "because I don’t wanna". I was going to school at UW Platteville with my wife and would call him daily telling him how I hated it so much. Then when my wife was about to graduate from Platteville I decided I did not want to stay. So, the day came where I was able to call my father with the news and I said, "Dad I wanted to give you some news I think you'll enjoy. I am going to be a UW Whitewater student starting Spring of 2015!" I remember he was so ecstatic I was going to be at the same place he earned his degree. When May of 2016 came around for me to graduate I remember he and his girlfriend Patty were in the front row. When it was my turn to walk across that stage and my name was announced I remember hearing my father yell at the top of his lungs "YEAH DAVEY!" It felt so good to make him so proud that he could not contain himself that he just had to yell. This will be a memory that I will never ever forget for the rest of my life, and I am so thankful he was there to see me walk a crossed that stage and make him so proud. 

I love you Dad more than you can ever imagine...
